Metals & Jewelry care
14k gold
Solid 14k gold is composed of 58.3% gold blended with other metals. Perfect for everyday wear, 14k gold is more resistant to scratches than more pure gold pieces. 14k gold can be worn during showering; however remove when cleaning with chemicals to prevent weakening of the gold structure. Store your gold pieces in an airtight or sealed container. Due to minimal tarnishing, regularly clean your 14k pieces with a detergent-free soap and warm water, and polish with a soft cloth. VermeilVermeil (pronounced ver-may) means heavily gold plated jewelry. Our vermeil is dipped in 23-24k of gold over sterling silver with 3 microns of thickness. Naturally vermeil will fade lightly over time. To reduce further fading, remove your vermeil pieces when showering, exercising, cleaning, applying lotions, oils and perfumes. Store your vermeil pieces in an airtight container. To prevent tarnishing: after wear, clean with dish soap - carefully rub the soap onto the jewelry with your hands (not a brush) and gently polish with a soft or microfiber cloth. Do not use chemical jewelry cleaners. Sterling SilverOur sterling silver jewelry (925) is individually hand polished and a selection of our chains are made from 100% recycled silver. Though silver can be worn everyday - remove silver pieces when showering, exercising, cleaning, and applying lotions, oils and perfumes. To prevent tarnishing, store silver pieces in an airtight container with an anti-tarnish strip. Clean your silver with dish soap - carefully rub the soap onto the jewelry with your hands. A silver dip and silver polishing cloth can be used as well. |
